Winnebago has had several Sprinter-based RV models for years now, including two of the most popular Sprinter RVs in North America – the Winnebago View and the Itasca Navion. These larger Sprinter motorhomes are everywhere in the summertime (and available used for good prices too).
In April, Motorhome magazine reviewed three different Sprinter motorhomes in the Class A, Class B and Class C sizes: the 2012 Winnebago Era 70X, the Winnebago View and the Itasca Reyo. And like most reviewers, they were pretty surprised by the power and driveability of the Sprinter chassis – Mercedes quality and technology and the torque of a turbodiesel engine make a good trio. Of course, the American viewpoint is obvious here too – about the Era: “Frankly, it is amazing that a motorhome this small has a bathroom and shower at all..” Haven’t seen any of the DOMO Sprinter conversions, have they?
Check out the reviews at Motorhome magazine, and if you want more comprehensive details on all the 2012 Sprinter RVs, you’ll find them in my 2012 Sprinter RV Buyer’s Guide!
